‘Jungle-clad princess… man-killing monsters… in land of screaming terror!’
The 1952 Monogram Pictures black and white adventure film Bomba and the Jungle Girl is written and directed by Ford Beebe and again stars Johnny Sheffield, who is back for the eighth entry in the 12-film Bomba the Jungle Boy series, following African Treasure (1952).
Also in the cast are Karen Sharpe, Walter Sande, Suzette Harbin, Martin Wilkins, Morris Buchanan, Leonard Mudie, Don Blackman, Amanda Randolph, Bruce Carruthers, Roy Glenn, Jack Clisby, Bill Walker and Kimbbo the Chimp.
Bomba (Johnny Sheffield) decides to find out who his parents were and what happened to them. He follows the trail to a native village where an old blind woman tells him his parents and the village’s ruler were murdered by the tribal chief, Gamboso the Usurper (Martin Wilkins), and his daughter Princess Baru (Suzette Harbin).
One of the tribesmen befriends Bomba and they set out to find the parents’ graves. With the aid of Commissioner Andy Barnes (Leonard Mudie) and his daughter Linda Ward (Karen Sharpe), Bomba goes on to battle the usurpers in the cave where his parents are buried.
It was the last film released with by Monogram Pictures, which was sold and became Allied Artists.
It was shot at Baldwin Ranch, Los Angeles.
