Director Peter Hyams’s exciting 1999 Sci-fi thriller stars Arnold Schwarzenegger, still in his prime as he takes on his biggest foe yet – Satan – played with great aplomb by Gabriel Byrne. Schwarzenegger’s character Jericho finds that the Devil (aka The Man) is in town with just one thing on his mind – to impregnate a woman in the last hour before the turn of the millennium.
End of Days is an underrated, enjoyable, robust action movie, made with plenty of flair, zest and pace by director Hyams. Despite being a Razzie Awards nominee for Worst Actor, Schwarzenegger is on fine action form and his fans will be in heaven.
