Writer/ director Alexandra-Therese Keining’s entrancing 2015 Scandinavian film is provocative, haunting and very special, brilliantly acted and cleverly done.
Keining’s screenplay is based on Jessica Schiefauer’s novel in which the friendship of three young girls is tested after they plant a special flower, whose nectar changes their lives for ever.
As the girls become boys, a deep cinematic reflection on sexuality and gender begins.
