New York cop Detective Keith Frazier (Denzel Washington) is engaged in a risky game of cat and mouse with smooth criminal Dalton Russell (Clive Owen), leader of a gang of robbers disguised in painters’ outfits, who storm a Wall Street bank and put it under armed siege.

Bank boss Arthur Case (Christopher Plummer) calls in mysterious power broker Madeleine White (Jodie Foster)…

Great performances and Russell Gewirtz’s teasing clever script drive director Spike Lee’s zippy Seventies-style heist thriller that gives plenty of clues but keeps you guessing till the very end.

Also in the cast are Willem Dafoe as Captain John Darius and Chiwetel Ejiofor as Detective Bill Mitchell.

It is the fourth collaboration of Lee and Washington.
