Directors Peter Farrelly and Bobby Farrelly’s 2000 comedy finds Jim Carrey on top comic form as Charlie, a mild policeman who has to balance his responsibilities with a split-personality as a psychotic state trooper named Hank.
Charlie is escorting Irene (Renée Zellweger), a crime suspect, to New York, but then, of course, Hank turns up! And, of course, both good cop and bad cop are both in love with Irene.
Be ready for an avalanche of crude humour and gross-out, bad-taste gags from the directors of There’s Something About Mary. Bad-taste gags they may be, but this raunchy romp is funny.
Also in the cast are Anthony Anderson, Mongo Brownlee, Jerod Mixon, Chris Cooper, Michael Bowman, Richard Jenkins, Robert Forster, Mike Cerrone, Rob Moran, Daniel Greene and Tony Cox.
It is rated R for sexual content, crude humour, strong language and some violence.
