The 1980 American comedy film Sitting Ducks is written and directed by Henry Jaglom, and stars Michael Emil and Zack Norman. It is one of Jaglom’s successes.
Sitting Ducks is a brilliant mixture of comedy and road movie, in which two small-time hoods, bantering buddies Simon (Michael Emil) and Sidney (Zack Norman), get into a heap of trouble when they pinch lots of gambling syndicate mafia money and flee by car for a plane to take them to Central America, picking up a couple of young women (Patrice Townsend, Irene Forrest) and an unsuccessful singer-songwriter.
Emil and Norman make an extremely funny comedy team in a jolly, credible movie packed full of little surprises, action, gags and big guffaws.
Michael Emil is Jaglom’s brother.
The cast are Michael Emil as Simon, Zack Norman as Sidney, Patrice Townsend as Jenny, Irene Forrest as Leona, Richard Romanus as Moose, John Teranova as Mr Carmichael, Eric Starr as Gas Station Attendant, Stasia Grabowski as Collector #1, Ellen Talmadge as Collector #2, Madeline Silver as Secretary, Yoram Kaniur as Collector #3, and Judith Bruce as Head Waitress.
Richard Romanus also writes the score.
