Director Terence Fisher’s cheery 1955 British black and white comedy Children Galore is a spirited comic effort that tells this tale of a titled couple, Lord and Lady Redscarf (Evan Thomas, Marjorie Hume), who offer a new cottage home to the village married couple with the greatest number of grandchildren. A competition ensues between the three most prolific families: The Joneses, The Arks and The Bunnions.
Children Galore is short, amiable fluff with merry mugging from the agreeable players.

Popular English actress June Thorburn (8 June 1931 – 4 November 1967), pregnant with her third child, was returning to London from Spain on Iberia Airlines Flight 062 when it crashed at Blackdown, Sussex, killing all 37 people on board. She was aged 36.
