Dolph Lundgren plays Mike Anderson, a tough American reporter newsman probing US military deaths at the hands of terrorists in Israel and finding his life in jeopardy, in this satisfactory Lundren action thriller outing. It helps that there is some thoughtful, intelligent realism in the conspiracy-inclined script. The Cover-Up is a theft of deadly nerve gas.
Lisa Berkley plays Dolph’s ex-Iover Susan Clifford, now the US Embassy press attaché, as Mike Anderson renews a fiery affair with her, while having to confronting an old adversary, CIA boss Lou Jackson (Louis Gossett Jr).
The film had a budget of $6 million and was shot in Israel.
Lundgren stayed at the King David Hotel, the five-star hotel in Jerusalem.
Coto replaced writer/ original director William Tannen immediately before filming began.
