Zoo animals state their case in writer-director Nick Park’s clever, appealing 1989 Oscar-winning animated short film, the first of his four Academy Awards, followed by The Wrong Trousers (1993), A Close Shave (1995) and the Best Animated Feature Film of the Year, The Curse of the Were-Rabbit (2005).
It features the voice of Julie Sedgewick as the interviewer who asks the zoo creatures to talk into her microphone about how they like their living quarters.
It won the 1991 Oscar for Best Short Film, Animated. It follows A Grand Day Out.
