‘Imagine a place where all dimensions of the universe collide…’
Director Krishna Rao’s 1996 film Crossworlds is tolerable sci-fi action film with an on-form Rutger Hauer as A T, a space mercenary mentor, and Josh Charles appealing as Joe Talbot, a college kid finds his father was from another dimension and ends up with an heirloom of a crystal pendant that is the key to opening the Crossworlds.
Stuart Wilson enjoys himself as the bad guy, Ferris, out to straddle the dimensions and control the universe.
As is evident, Krishna Rao and Raman Rao’s script has plenty of silly mumbo-jumbo, but this low-budgeter is quite lively and entertaining, though more money spent on it might have made the effects and production better. Even so, the story and effects are pretty good.
Also in the cast are Andrea Roth, Perry Anzilotti, Jack Black, Richard McGregor, Ellen Geer and Beverly Johnson.
