Director Aaron Norris’s 1990 film Delta Force 2: The Colombian Connection stars Chuck Norris, Billy Drago, Bobby Chavez, John P Ryan, and Richard Jaeckel.
Martial arts superstar Chuck Norris is back from the 1986 film The Delta Force as Colonel Scott McCoy, this time sent on a mission by the US President to rescue Drug Enforcement Agency officers held by billionaire bad guy Ramon Cota (Billy Drago) at a mountain fortress in San Carlos, Antioquia, Colombia.
Delta Force 2 is mainly a mediocre, obvious action thriller, but lustily performed and energetically directed by Chuck’s brother Aaron, with lots of mindless violence and one big highlight in the thrilling skydiving climax.
It is dedicated to the crewmen killed in a helicopter crash while shooting.
Five crew members were killed: Jojo Imperiale (pilot), Geoff Brewer (stuntman/Actor: Maj. Anderson), Gadi Danzig (cameraman), Mike Graham (key grip) and Don Marshall (gaffer).
It runs 114 minutes but cut versions run at 106 and 110 minutes.
Also in the cast are Begonya Plaza, Héctor Mercado, Mark Margolis, Paul Perri and Mates Gomez.
