Director Tatsuya Nagamine’s Japanese anime Dragon Ball Super: Broly (2018) is dazzlingly bright and lively, and a whole lot of fast-moving fun, with spectacular prolonged frenetic sequences of action and violence, and a terrific soundtrack. It really is a comic book come to life on screen.
It is not about plot, but anyway, sparks fly when Goku and Vegeta (voice of Ryô Horikawa) encounter Saiyan warrior Broly (voice of Bin Shimada). The splendidly imaginative screenplay is by Akira Toriyama, who is also the character creator. The other heroes here are composer Norihito Sumitomo and art director Kazuo Ogura.
