In director Richard Loncraine’s 2006 movie, Harrison Ford is back in the kind of old style crime thriller that he used to do so well.
Ford plays a bank security specialist called Jack Stanfield, who has to rob the bank he’s protecting by using his computers to transfer his firm’s money to robber Bill Cox (Paul Bettany)’s offshore account after Bettany seizes his wife Beth (Virginia Madsen) and kids for ransom.
This is formulaic stuff, slickly made and competently acted. But, with little credibility and less tension, it is never more than a mediocre timepasser.
The stars try their hardest but they deserve more polished material. Alan Arkin, Robert Forster and Robert Patrick co-star.
