First Kid *** (1996, Sinbad, Brock Pierce, James Naughton, Lisa Eichhorn, Zachery Ty Bryan, Erin Williby, Blake Boyd) – Classic Movie Review 4548

Director David M Evans’s laid-back, entertaining 1996 Disney comedy stars Sinbad, who is amusing as ex-boxer Sam Simms, the agent in charge of Luke Davenport (Brock Pierce), the difficult, troublesome, 13-year-old son of the US President (James Naughton) and the First Lady (Lisa Eichhorn).

Sam shows Luke how to fight the school bully, Rob MacArthur (Zachery Ty Bryan), who compete for dream girl Katie Warren (Erin Williby), in a pleasant screenplay written by Tim Kelleher.

Also in the cast are Timothy Busfield, Art LaFleur, Blake Boyd, Robert Guillaume, Fawn Reed, Michael Krawic, Bill Cobbs, Jenar Jefferson, Daniel Baron, Joe Inscoe and J Michael Hunter.
