Friends actress Jennifer Aniston stars as Olivia in the appealing and perceptive 2006 American comedy-drama film Friends with Money, wittily written and nimbly directed by Nicole Holofcener.

Single woman Olivia cleans houses in Los Angeles to make ends meet but she has Friends with Money, rich mom Franny (Joan Cusack), TV writer Christine (Catherine Keener), fashion designer Jane (Frances McDormand) and their husbands.

The very attractive, on-form cast are Jennifer Aniston as Olivia, Catherine Keener as Christine, Frances McDormand as Jane, Joan Cusack as Franny, Jason Isaacs as David, Scott Caan as Mike, Simon McBurney as Aaron, Greg Germann as Matt, Marin Hinkle as Maya, Timm Sharp as Richard, Jake Cherry as Wyatt, Ty Burrell as Other Aaron, and Bob Stephenson as Marty.

It opened the 2006 Sundance Film Festival on 19 January 2006, and had a limited release in North America on 7 April 2006.

It cost $6.5 million and did well to take $18,245,244 worldwide, most of it in the US – $13,367,101. And, plus, after it was released on DVD on 29 August 2006, it grossed another $29,600,000 in US DVD/ home video rentals. Wow!

The soundtrack is written by Rickie Lee Jones and Craig Richey.
