Freddie Prinze Jr falls for Monica Potter against the background of New York’s world of fashion in this amusingly girly comedy.
Art restorer Amanda (Potter) finds she has supermodels (Shalom Harlow, Ivana Milicevic, Sarah O’Hare, Tomika Fraser) as flatmates, and, when she falls for charming fashion consultant Jim Winston (Prinze Jr), he seems to be the answer to a maiden’s prayers. But then, one night, the girls spy him committing what appears to be a cold-blooded crime of murder, and they turn into super-sleuths to solve the mystery.
Potter sparkles and Prinze Jr is the ideal charmer in director Mark S Waters’s pleasantly easy-going 2001 comedy that raises some sure-fire laughs, nice sentiments and warm feelings with the help of Ron Burch and David Kidd’s decent screenplay.
