Just the Ticket (1998, Andy Garcia).

Writer-director Richard Wenk’s 1998 romantic comedy film Just the Ticket stars appealing Andy Garcia and Andie MacDowell.

Ticket tout Gary Starke (Garcia) has a girlfriend called Linda (MacDowell) who wants to be a restaurateur, helps a pregnant drug pusher, and gets worked over real rotten by protection-racket thugs.

Just the Ticket tells a simmering story – it is more of a heart-tugging drama than a thriller, unfortunately – that never reaches the boil despite Garcia’s stalwart turn.

A film with these two Andies ought to be a lot ‘andier than this.
