Uniquely upsetting and disturbing, Path of Blood is a terrifying real-life horror film putting the spotlight on Al Qaeda and in particular young men at jihadi boot camp who plot to overthrow the Saudi government, detonating three car bombs at Western compounds in downtown Riyadh.

With agonising Al Qaeda home-movie footage captured by the security services, director Jonathan Hacker’s documentary shows how brainwashed idealism can be a bloody path into carnage.

Path of Blood is the most challenging, uncomfortable viewing, confronting the most terrible realities, and needs to be handled with great care.

Path of Blood is released in cinemas 13 July 2018 and iTunes and on demand 16 July.
