Producer-director Michael Winner’s undistinguished 1984 woman in jeopardy movie Scream for Help offers loopy horror antics when a teenager, Christie Cromwell (Rachel Kelly), realises that her stepfather is trying to kill her and her mother. Naturally no one believes her until it is too late.

Screenwriter Tom Holland takes a break from directing such enjoyable little horror gems as Child’s Play (1988) and Fright Night (1985) to script this major schlock to the system.

Winner directs a truly ridiculous plot with his tongue firmly in his cheek.

Also in the cast are David Brooks [David Allen Brooks], Marie Masters, Rocco Sisto, Lolita Lorre [Lolita Lesheim], Corey Parker, Tony Sibbald, David Baxt, Bruce Boa, Sandra Clark, Clare Burt and Sarah Brackett.
