Writer-director Stefan Schwartz’s 1997 British comedy stars Stuart Townsend and Dan Futterman as Jez and Dylan, a couple of orphaned con-men who join up with their posh office temp Georgie (Kate Beckinsale) to scam enough money to buy the mansion of their dreams. A romantic triangle starts up between charming American on the run from trouble Dylan and English techno nerd Jez and Georgie, but she is about to marry rich Roger (Dominic Mafham).
The three star players give enthusiastic, appealing performances in this fast-moving romantic crime comedy that may be messy and far from credible, but is nevertheless still exuberant and very likeable.
Phyllis Logan, Tom Chadbon, Dominic Mafham, Peter Capaldi, Nicholas Woodeson, Annette Crosbie, Nickolas Grace and Ralph Ineson are also in the pleasing, talented cast.
