Ron Ely stars again as Tarzan, who this time loses his hearing when a bomb goes off, but battles the ruthless Colonel (Jock Mahoney), a mercenary who raises an army to take over a village in Africa and hunts down Tarzan through the jungle.
Director Robert L Friend’s 1970 adventure Tarzan’s Deadly Silence consists of two episodes of the 1966-68 Tarzan TV series stitched together as a cinema feature film.
Also in the cast are Manuel Padilla Jr as the orphan boy Jai, former Tarzan Jock Mahoney as The Colonel, Woody Strode as Marshak, Nichelle Nichols as Ruana, Gregorio Acosta as Chico, Robert DoQui as Metusa and Kenny Washington as Akaba.
It is written by Lee Erwin, Jack H Robinson, John Considine and Tim Considine.
It follows Tarzan’s Jungle Rebellion (1967) also with Ron Ely and the last made for cinema feature for many years, Tarzan and the Jungle Boy (1968) with Mike Henry.
Tarzan’s Deadly Silence is directed by Robert L Friend, runs 88 minutes, is made by Banner Productions, is released by National General, is written by Lee Erwin, Jack H Robinson, John Considine and Tim Considine, is shot by Abraham Vialla, is produced by Leon Benson and is scored by Walter Greene.
