Director Deran Sarafian’s 1994 action mystery movie Terminal Velocity stars Charlie Sheen, who twinkles as aerial instructor Ditch Brodie, who finds himself taking beautiful skydiving pupil Chris Morrow (Nastassja Kinski) on a dangerous rollercoaster of spills and thrills.
Kinski turns out to be Krista Moldova, a KGB agent with a mission to save the cash-strapped Russian Treasury from a sting.
This surprisingly engaging spy thriller sparks on all cylinders, with the star duo and the action sequences particularly impressing. An impressive range of exotic villains includes a peroxided killer named Kerr (Christopher McDonald) and a devious attorney investigator called Ben Pinkwater (James Gandolfini).
It is unusual treat in 1994 to find a good old-fashioned, Hitchcock-style romantic thriller that really delivers on pace, energy and action.
Also in the cast are Garry Bullock, Hans Hower, Melvin Van Peebles, Suli McCullough, Cathryn de Prume, Richard Sarafian Jr, Lori Lynn Dickerson, Terry Finn and Martha Vazquez
The screen-writer is David N Twohy, who went on to write the star role in The Arrival (1996) for Sheen.
