Tom Conway stars again as Michael Arlen’s débonair detective The Falcon (aka Tom Lawrence) in director William Clemens’s 1943 mystery thriller, in which he this time poses as an insurance investigator and investigates the Co-Eds at a women’s college in the case of a teacher’s murder disguised as suicide.
This fast-moving RKO B-movie is a slightly above par-for-the-course entry for the Falcon series, which began in 1941 with The Gay Falcon, starring Conway’s brother George Sanders.
Cliff Clark and Edward Gargan provide the good comic playing. Also in the cast are Jean Brooks, Rita Corday, Amelita Ward, Isabel Jewell, George Givot and Barbara Brown.
Conway played The Falcon in ten of the series’ entries.
