Tom Conway stars again as Michael Arlen’s débonair detective The Falcon (aka Tom Lawrence) in director William Clemens’s 1943 mystery thriller, in which he this time investigates a plane crash that has no victims because there are no passengers and pilot.
There is good comic playing from Cliff Clark and Edward Gargan in this well-written (by Fred Niblo Jnr and Craig Rice), above-par entry for the Falcon series, which began in 1941 with The Gay Falcon, starring Conway’s brother George Sanders.
Also in the cast are Jean Brooks, Elaine Shepard and Amelita Ward.
