Director Justin Lin’s 2006 American action movie sequel is exciting, busy, fast moving and action packed. It is The Fast and the Furious 3 is all but name. Rebooting the franchise, it stars Lucas Black as American teenager Sean Boswell, who challenges his rival in an illegal street race and he totals his car. Just escaping a jail sentence, he is sent to Tokyo to live with his military father and discovers a new way of street racing.
It also stars Zachery Ty Bryan as Clay, Nathalie Kelley, Sung Kang, Bow Wow and Brian Tee, is produced by Neal H. Moritz and written by Chris Morgan.
Though it is the franchise’s third episode, it takes place in time between the events of Fast & Furious 6 and Fast & Furious 7. It was shot in Tokyo and parts of Los Angeles, covered with props and lights to look like Tokyo.
It is a more or less unrelated movie, though Vin Diesel was persuaded to reprise his role as Dominic Toretto in a cameo at the end, but there is no Paul Walker for the only time. They both return for Fast & Furious.
Lin directed Fast & Furious, Fast & Furious Five and Fast & Furious 6 before going on to Star Trek Beyond (2016).
Black reappears as Boswell in Fast & Furious 7.

Zachery Ty Bryan was born in Colorado on 9 October 1981 and is best known as Brad Taylor on Home Improvement (1991) but his movie roles include First Kid (1996).
