Pierce Brosnan scores a hit as a world-weary hit-man, who drags failed salesman Greg Kinnear into his crazy way of life in Mexico. Much later, a desperate Brosnan turns up at Kinnear’s home to seek his help and meet his wife (Hope Davis).
Leaving behind his James Bond image for ever, Brosnan is extraordinary in a weird, wacky, wayward and rather wonderful shaggy-dog story that bristles with tension and delivers lots of offbeat laughs.
Kinnear and Davis give ultra-skilled turns too in this offbeat 2005 winner, written and directed by Richard Shepard (The Hunting Party, Dom Hemingway).
