Producer/ director Wesley Barry’s robust 1954 American colour Western film The Outlaw’s Daughter is written by Samuel Roeca, and stars Bill Williams, Sheila Connolly, Jim Davis, George Cleveland, Sara Haden, Elisha Cook Jr and Nelson Leigh.

Bill Williams stars as Jess Raidley, who is forced to kill outlaw Jim Dalton (Nelson Leigh), causing Dalton’s daughter Kate (Sheila Connolly, billed as Kelly Ryan) to seek retribution against Marshal Dan Porter (Jim Davis).

The Outlaw’s Daughter is a neat little Western that manages to stand out from the crowd, with decent performances from a workmanlike cast, a good, involving script written by Samuel Roeca, location filming in Sedona, Arizona, and Kanab, Utah, and striking Eastmancolor cinematography by Gordon Avil, Bill Williams and Jim Davis are strong and solid. George Cleveland, Elisha Cook Jr and Guinn ‘Big Boy’ William shine out in support.

The film was released in the US on November 1, 1954, by 20th Century Fox.
